a wonderful first Christmas...

i must say that my first Christmas was perfect. the best part was spending time visiting with all of my family and friends. on Christmas eve, i went to church with mommy's family. on Christmas day, we went to tennessee to visit with daddy's famly. i even got to go to the opryland hotel & of course i was very well behaved!

also, i received many neat toys for gifts, and i am very thankful for them. my current favorites are my aquarium, rolling snail, talking dog, and rainstick. they really hold my attention and make me laugh.

jumping in my sleep...

sometimes i jump so much that i get really tired! a couple of times mommy and daddy have found me asleep while jumping, and i will continue to jump! they can't understand how much fun it is!!!

study time...

even though i still enjoy jumping, sometimes i also like to be quiet and study my toys and play with them.

all i want for christmas is my two front teeth...

everyone has noticed that i have been drooling alot recently & so we all assumed that teeth would be showing up soon. on christmas eve night, i had a terrible time & mommy thought she felt something coming through on my bottom gums. by nighttime on christmas day, the teeth were really breaking through & i had a really difficult time that night as well. (at least it looks like there are two teeth!) i have been taking plenty of tylenol & mommy and daddy sing to me alot. and all the rest of my family has helped to take care of me too. what a christmas present!! since i am hurting so badly, i have not had much time to work on this blog. so here are happy pictures of me... i will do another update when i can...

christmas is here! here are a couple of pictures from yesterday. i have really enjoyed the christmas tree. also, mommy has recently noticed that i seem bored in the car if i have no toys. so she tries to keep a little bear with me all the time.

more weekend fun...

saturday was a really fun day! mommy took us to church with grammy & pappy for a Christmas party. there was face painting, inflatables, cookie-making, bracelet and ornament-making, and we met a lot of people-- including santa!

good clean fun...

today cousins mark and savannah came to see us for the weekend! savannah brought all sorts of gifts for me, including this pink tugboat & new washcloth. i really enjoyed them in my bath tonight.

this is what i did today...

today, mommy & daddy mostly just spent time with me & cleaned up the house. we didn't go anywhere, but that's good because it helps me to stay on my schedule better. you can see in one of these pictures that i fell asleep in my jumeroo again. i guess i get that habit honest (from mommy, for those of you who may not know!)

i'm a healthy young lady...

i went to see dr. buttler today & he says i am very healthy. he asked mommy if i still spit up alot & she said yes, but that it is probably because i like to kick & jump so much. dr. buttler said that was OK, because i have plenty of calories in reserve. i weigh 15 pounds & 1 ounce. i also got 4 immunizations today. when i got the shots, mommy sang a song to distract me & i only cried a little bit. the nurse said she thought i should be the next Gerber Baby & she gave me fun bandaids.

jump around, jump around...

here is more video of me in my jumperoo. i am getting more comfortable in it, as you can see. now i can spin the chair around (maybe not on purpose!) so there is always a new activity just around the bend! this morning, i stayed in it for almost an hour!

the big 4 mO.

can you believe that i'm 4 months old today? it feels like i was born just yesterday. today i celebrated my birthday like any other day... i just relaxed and played and ate. mommy & daddy are taking me to have pictures made on tuesday, so we have had some practice photo shoots. this way, mommy could figure out what outfit will be best. here are the results...

my morning...

morning time is always the most fun for me. i am in a really good mood when i first wake up & i am ready to eat & play. here, you can see me playing with my playmat toys in a new way -- since i can roll over now, i become frustrated if i just lie on the mat. but sitting in my bumbo chair is great! i also enjoy the jumperoo alot -- in that picture, you can tell that i play pretty hard. i just wear myself out!

spending time with my grammy...

grammy takes care of me if mommy & daddy both have to work the same day. so i spend alot of time at her house. the toys at her house are totally different from the toys at my house & that is exciting. lately, i have been playing with eyeore. he sings songs & flaps his ears around. it makes me giggle.

a busy day...

these pictures are from yesterday, 12-3-08. you can see me playing in my jumperoo -- but it's getting close to Christmas, so i had to put on something a little more festive! daddy & i had fun playing today, too. i even went out to lunch with mommy & her friends dimple & susan -- of course she had to take me to show me off! i was very well behaved & mommy is very proud of me!

shaking things up a little...

i have discovered that i can control some movements. this video shows me playing with my elephant on my playmat. it is a lot of fun & sometimes i just scream in excitement & joy!

more family time...

on sunday we went to cousin pat and mike's house. i had a fun time visiting with everyone! mostly i just showed off all my tricks (rolling over) and savannah fed me.

roll on over...

after thanksgiving, daddy & mommy took grandmommy back to her house in tuscumbia, so of course i went too. while we were there, i had my first "roll-over" that people actually witnessed. (i have rolled over in the middle of the night a few times.) i can now roll from my back to my stomach unassisted. as you can hear from the video, mommy and grandmommy are more excited about it than i am. sometimes i get angry when i am trying to roll over because it is such hard work.
