our trip to the zoo...

we got to go to the birmingham zoo with my friends ellie & kendall & their daddy, mr. bo. their mommy was on a mission trip. it was great fun. (even though i was still cranky & very much needed a nap!) we watched the animals & rode the train & merry-go-round &... well, see for yourself!

it wasn't my party & i cried 'cause i wanted to...

we had so many fun things planned for yesterday, but like i said before, i wasn't very happy. however, there were some good moments. we went to a birthday party for my friend cadence & she made me smile.

i must admit, i have been a bit of a chore to be around today. i have had alot of gas, so mommy & daddy say i am excused for my behavior. i did not want to take a nap this morning & so the rest of my day was all thrown off. but that just means i will sleep well tonight!

an ordinary day...

here are some ordinary pictures from ordinary days. my latest development is that i like to stand up in the crib. i try to stand up in the floor too, but i don't really have the balance yet.

i get silly when i am sleepy...

when it was about time for my mid-day nap yesterday, i was tired, but i did not feel like going to bed! there are too many fun things to do. so i performed a silly song & dance to convince mommy that she did not need to put me in the crib!


and when it was time for bed last night, i tried again to tell mommy that i did not need sleep. i was unsuccessful, but mommy & daddy had a good laugh at me.

a love for learning...

like i've said before, i love to read! this "flip-flap" book is still my current favorite. i chase it all over my room, no matter where it might be. the words are on brightly colored pages so i can see them easily. other books that i enjoy are goodnight moon, two to cuddle, & books from the sweet pickles series.

i help with yardwork...

now that it is springtime, mommy & daddy have alot of work to do in the yard. i have helped them with planting things, laying pinestraw & watering flowers.

climbing like a crazy...

i am really pulling up on everything now. i hope i can stand up by myself soon!

enjoying the great outdoors...

i love this warm weather & i love to be outside. daddy & mommy try to get me outside as much as possible. grammy & pappy got these cool shades for me. now i don't have to squint in the sun!

i'm busy at play...

i'm always learning...

here are a few things i have been working on recently. i can hold my own bottle, but i just don't understand why milk doesn't flow up...so mommy helps me tilt the bottle so milk comes out. i also enjoy my story books. i like the pictures but i really like to look at the words. another thing that my family has noticed is that i seem to favor my left hand. maybe i am a lefty.

a trip to grandmommie's house...

this weekend i visited grandmommie's house. my aunt judy was able to visit with us too. here are some of the fun things we did...

i can do it...

i am constantly telling mommy that i CAN do things...she tells me "no" alot & picks me up & moves me to other places. i just laugh at her when she does this. i am getting close to standing up & i have decided that i can use a spoon all by myself. of course, mommy still tells me that i need help.

happy mother's day...

we went to church with grammy & pappy for mother's day. i tried to give everyone a happy day, but my gums are really bothering me. that is why i am a little crazy in some of these pictures.

enjoying simple things...

i have a lot of fun toys to learn & play with. one thing i especially like is the simple green & yellow merry-go-round & the school house for my "little people." i also enjoy my jingle ball & these rainbow cups that stack & roll.

getting all "puffed" up...

here's another adventure in feeding myself. i have started eating these banana puff things. i am still a little unsure about them, but i just keep going back for more.

what i've been up to...

let's see... the weather has been nice, so i have been on walks with grammy & pappy & mommy. i am pulling up more on different things, like on this box of diapers. and squash is my vegetable of the week! yum!

peek-a-boo...i see you...

i like to play peek-a-boo & it makes me laugh a lot. sometimes i use the blanket to cover my face & other times mommy will peek around a corner or something. this video is a little shaky because she was taking it while she peeked over the side of the crib. but you can definitely hear me laughing, at least when i catch my breath well enough to laugh out loud!
