just playing around...

i help with chores...

mommy was using the vacuum cleaner & i became very interested in it. at first i liked watching the water bubble around inside the vacuum. but then i discovered the suction! oh what fun! :)

i'm getting stronger...

i still cannot stand up all by myself, but i am sure am trying to do it! in case you can't tell by these pictures, i like to practice my standing while i do lots of other things.








but i can climb the stairs at grammy & pappy's house -- and i am getting pretty fast at it!

just had to share...

today i fell asleep in the car while we were running errands. when i woke up, my hair looked like this! mommy said that i should show everyone. but i am happy, so what does it matter if i have crazy hair?

this is an "open & shut case"...

i am fascinated by buttons, like on the remote control & the telephone. but one of my favorite things is in my bedroom -- it is my radio/cd player. just watch...


mommy says i am especially smart because i am so precise with my left forefinger. i always know just which button to push!

i am beginning to gain confidence in standing up. sometimes i will try to move around while i hang on to something. and sometimes i only use one hand to balance.

on my later beach adventures, mommy and daddy carried me. it was more fun for me because i didn't get sand on my hands, face or in my mouth!

there were other fun things to do...

we went into town to hear a band play some jazz music. there were also fountains for kids to run & play in & i had fun watching ellie & kendall. but then daddy got me a little wet too!

more fun at the pool...

we actually visited the pool more than we visited the beach. of course i tried to put everything in my mouth -- so the pool was easier to deal with than the sandy beach was.

wet & wild...

this was my first time to go swimming. i enjoyed kicking & splashing... i also tried to drink the water. that upset me every time, but i continued to try it. i really enjoy my bath time, so it just made sense that that a huge "bath tub" would be great fun!

life's a beach...

we are vacationing with my friends ellie & kendall & their parents. it is my first time to go to the beach & i'm not really sure what to think about it. we spent the morning just hanging out around the house. we went to beach in the afternoon when it began to cool off. at first, i enjoyed the new feel of the sand, but it made me angry when it did not taste very good.

pappy & grammy got a swing for me & they put it on their back porch. what fun! but i hope you don't get motion sickness watching this video.

relaxing at home...

i did all sorts of errands with mommy & daddy yesterday. they tell me that i behaved very well. but it was great to come home & relax and play with whatever i wanted instead of being confined in the stroller & carseat.

a kickstart to my day...

i am usually quite happy & full of energy first thing in the morning, which is when mommy took this video. just imagine changing my diaper when i am kicking like i'll show you in these videos! it's even crazier during the diaper change because i really love to be naked & i kick even more. but we are not going to show that to all of the internet world!

look what i can do now...

today i held my bottle all by myself. i was able to drink it almost dry! maybe a sippy cup is just around the corner!

once a jumping bean, always a jumping bean

i am almost too big for my jumperoo. they say i should not use it when i can stand flat-footed. i can stand flat-footed if i want to, but i prefer to be on my tippy toes & i still enjoy the toys on my jumperoo. and of course, i still love to jump! so i am going to use it as long as i can! i am also including a picture of me playing with a block. it is so simple, yet i find it so interesting (and good for teething too!)

for a while now, i have been able to stand if someone helps me get there. i have also been able to stand up in the crib without help. but yesterday i learned a new way that i can go from sitting to standing. i pulled up on the toy box and... POP! i was standing up!
