play day with the dysons...
wednesday was a huge play-day with my friends owen & eli dyson. we tried happy feet in the driveway, but it was just too hot. so then some of us did hula-hooping. mommy even tried the sit&spin.
we also did bubbles & water balloons. i am usually scared of balloons so there aren't pictures of me in this activity. i was clinging to mommy. but i discovered that water balloons are not as noisy as air balloons. maybe i'll do water balloons again soon.
then we decorated cupcakes too.
here is the cake i made! BeaUTiFuL!!
then we went to our neighborhood park for some swinging!! all of this fun wore me OuT!! on thursday morning, i slept until 8 am!!

clover-hunting...
pappy is good at finding 4-leaf clovers. he says it's because there's a patch of mutants in their backyard.
i picked 3-leaf clovers too, just so they wouldn't feel left out.

lego-mania...
on saturday, we did several errands and also did some fun things for me. we went to the mall & ate ice cream (my fave is vanilla with rainbow sprinkles!) then we went to the lego store. WoW!!! that is a ReALLy NeaT place! i got a girls' lego set, a box of random blocks, about 6 mini-figures, & a cup of "pick-your-brick" items.
i actually received some hello-kitty mega-blocks back at christmas, but i haven't paid much attention to all that. all of a sudden i am in LovE with legos!! i really think the legos fit together better than the mega-blocks do. but the mega-blocks sets are super cute -- mommy & daddy have yet to decide if we'll mix the two types together. (ha ha!) mommy & daddy are also having fun building things with me. mommy made this frog & duck. i made the "flag" (red white & blue blocks with eyes) & i also made the x-ray machine you can see just to the right of frog. little flag is going to the dentist & frog & duck are going to help flag take care of his teeth. at least that's what *i* think! and in the very bottom picture, you can see my toothpaste selections: cinnamon (brown block), bubble gum (blue block) & peppermint (red block.)

a BiG wednesday...
i graduated from the 4K program this week. we had a big celebration with a patriotic theme. we sang "you're a grand old flag" & "God bless america." we also said the pledge of allegiance to the flag. i LovE the american flag!!
here i am with my friends, cason & kiley & also ms susan.
mommy gave me these patriotic "fireworks" as my graduation gift.
afterwards, we went bowling again! and i spent some time in the arcade.
that evening, mommy & i made chocolate chip cookies. mmm mmm! a totally delicious day! :o)

bowling...
last week my school went on a field trip to the bowling alley. i tolerated the noisy environment quite well. i even put on the bowling shoes with very little fuss. (and i've been requesting to wear them again!!)
i did a good job of taking turns with the other students.
i cannot wait to go bowling again!!

it's bittersweet to come home...
we returned to birmingham on saturday afternoon. i adjusted fairly well -- especially compared to other homecomings. we really tried to squeeze in a LOT on those last couple of days at PCB. you can see here that i enjoyed making "puddles" by pouring ocean water onto drier sand. i was fascinated at how the water would disappear. i also enjoyed putting ALL the sunglasses on my dolphin.
i also enjoyed finding the living clamshells that wash up as the waves break. i would dig them out of the sand before they could burrow back in... then i'd take them to dry sand, where i told them they'd be "safe." no one could tell ME that they belonged in the wet sand!!
we got some blue bell ice cream & rainbow star sprinkles - YuM! but i was also interested in the taste of the ocean. i licked my fingers a LoT, despite discouragement from mommy. oh well...
i was definitely braver about the waves & water this year. i constantly heard, "that's far enough!"
we went to pier park & walked on the pier itself. i love this "pretty ball" -- the beach ball that is part of the pier park signage.
and after so much running, i also wanted to sit still. i began by asking daddy to cover me up with sand...
then i asked mommy to cover up daddy too! first she built castles all over us. later that day, i requested that daddy & i could drive "sand cars." mommy had to work pretty hard!
all adventures must come to and end. but one day we shall return...
