"hello, world!": 5/1/15

hello world!

my name is Mary Kathryn. i celebrated my seventh birthday on august 7, 2015. i still love music, especially anything that my daddy plays on the piano for me. i attend second grade & while i will tell you that i do not like school, i actually enjoy it. i enjoy reading about characters from "paw patrol" & "lego friends" & recently have begun reading some chapter books. often i use check lists to help me complete tasks & to help me know what to expect. i am constantly drawing & usually have several notebooks & pens handy. (my favorite pens are the pilot G2-07 black ones... you can't blame a girl for choosing the best!) some of my favorite things are dolphins, fish, whales, and pretty much anything that is PinK! i like to update this blog regularly so that everyone knows what is going on with me. please visit often, because i try to make a post at least every 2 or 3 days!

loving family time...

we enjoyed visiting with kyle's family on sunday night...

a day at the zoo...

my uncle kyle & his family came from texas to visit us!! on saturday we all went to the birmingham zoo. madison & i get along really well together.

of course we saw my favorite -- the flamingos!! i love them because they are luau animals.

baby liam came along too. isn't he SO cute?! we also went to the lorikeets. i was afraid to go in, but kyle & madison & grammy fed them with nectar!

we got to watch the sea lions eat their lunch & do tricks!

we ate lunch at the safari cafe & played on the playground.

the elephants were very close to the fences & we got to see them pretty close!

but madison & kyle got to see the giraffes up REALLY close!!

kyle & madison rode the "wild slide" but i just enjoyed watching!

of course we rode the train :o)

WHAT A *GREAT* DAY!!!

BOARD GAMES!...

this is one of my FAVORITE games! it is called hello-kitty pop-up game.

monday is movie & PJ day. wear PJs & bring a NON-disney G-rated movie to share with the class. please make sure your name is on it. tuesday is board game day.

bring a game with your name on it to play with your friends(which i brought hello-kitty pop-up game.) wednsday is electronic day. ms. rachels has @ iPads & 4 computers that can be used........so no one will be left out.

sunny bunny comes home...

one of my all-time favorite books is a raggedy-ann & raggedy-andy story "sunny bunny comes home." i've been reading it for years, but i have recently become even more in love with this book. it is about a little girl who is bored, searches through an old trunk in the attic & finds an old stuffed bunny. it was the 3rd rainy day in a row & marcella ran out of things to do. today, i was reading it as mommy & i ate lunch after church.

mommy remembered that SHE had an old toy trunk in the attic.

so we brought it downstairs to investigate the contents. i decided that skye (my trusty paw-patrol pup) should be re-named "sunny puppy" & she told us the story along with the toys we found in mommy's old trunk. honestly, i think mommy was even more excited than i was!
