hangin' out at grammy & pappy's house...

today daddy & i went to grammy & pappy's house to hang out while mommy went to work. (then she came over & we all had dinner together.) i really enjoy this bed in mommy's old room. i like to sit on it while i play with my stamps. i also enjoy climbing over the end of the bed like i am a little monkey. what a FuN day!!

duck, duck, bird...

i love ducky-one and ducky-one-B is a good substitute if ducky-one is not available. i also love this parrot that belonged to daddy when he was young. and i REALLY like to carry them ALL around with me at once! for some reason, i have started calling birds "doh" so that is what i call my parrot.

girls' night in...

grandmommie gave me this table & chairs set for christmas, but it was too big for me then. well, tonight my friends ellie & kendall came to have dinner with us (and their parents bo & erica came too!) so daddy brought the table up from the basement & it was perfect for us girls! i did have some trouble sitting at the table for the entire meal -- but i was just so excited with my new freedom!

just a random fun day...

we did not have to go much of anywhere today (except for a quick trip to the grocery store for fruit) & i always like that kind of laid-back, no-schedule day. here are a few of the fun things i did today: i read lots of books, i played with my "cat," i climbed on my playhouse, i played with the sand & water, and i rode my tricycle. whew! it makes me tired just to talk about it! i will sleep well tonight.

cuttin' up...

my hair had developed into a "rat-tail" so mommy has been thinking it was time to finally cut it off. we had a little extra time at grammy & pappy's house today. so grammy cut my hair, just like she'd always cut mommy's hair when she was a little girl. i will try to post some action-photos of the salon session soon. (mommy's camera was not working so we used grammy's camera.) they set me up with a baby einstein video to keep me occupied and... well, here's the result! :O)

one silly monkey playing on the bed...

you know the story about the silly monkeys jumping on the bed? i LiKE to jump on the bed, but i get in trouble when i do that because i might fall off & bump my head. but i am allowed to SiT on the bed & play, as long as an adult is nearby. i enjoy sitting by the radio/CD player & i know how to turn it on & start up the CD. lately, the CD has been sgt pepper's lonely hearts club band.

my own little table...

grammy got a table just for me at her house! it is a perfect size & i sat very well for dinner last night. i also went to school again on thursday. I MADE IT THE WHOLE DAY!!! :o) i have been to school 5 times & yesterday was the first day that my teachers did not have to ask mommy, daddy, or grammy to come get me early. they said that i am getting adjusted to the class. pappy just happened to be at the school yesterday & he said he peeked in on me as i was on the playground. of course i was doing just fine! he said that he even saw my teachers calling the class to go inside & i obeyed, without any crying. i am growing UP!

a castle for this princess...

WoW!! a big thank you goes out to my next-door neighbor friends, ainsley & kian kelley!! they have a playhouse that they are not using right now (they have a little sister who will play with it later.) so they are letting me borrow it for a little while. i played on it this morning, then took a 3 hour nap, then played again this afternoon!

we're back from the beach...

well, we made it home from our beach vacation. i really had so much fun!! here are some more pics from the last couple of days...

i LOVE the beach...

i love the beach and everything that goes with it! (well, except for my bath after i get all sandy!!) mommy was nervous that i might RUN out into the ocean water, so she really wanted me to wait until low tide to get out on the beach. but the water is so rough (red flags are flying) that even the low tide waters are somewhat rough. we enjoyed the pool this morning -- for a while we were the only people swimming! i still don't understand why they keep saying to kick my legs, but the floaties are helping me to "swim." and just to be clear... the pic of daddy holding me & i look like i am screaming -- i am screaming with JoY!!





















here i am LoVinG the beach!! i did run out into the water a little, but i was a good listener & stayed with mommy. mostly i sat in the sand & surf, just giggling. but we had only been on the beach about 5 minutes, when it began to rain! :( so we went back to up to the indoor section of the pool & the fun times continued!






















in these pics, i am just taking note of some fun things... i really like the dolphin on this towel & i just sit and talk to it a lot. and these shell logos are all over our condo complex & i think they look like clocks. so i whenever i see one, i have to exclaim, "gock!"











tonight we we to pier park for dinner. of course, i ate zucchini bread & grapes -- i'm still not really keen on the kind of food that restaurants serve! we walked around & looked at everything. i worked on holding hands with mommy & daddy because this is an important skill that i am developing. (you know, i really just love to RuN everywhere!) but i am getting better at staying with my parents! and look at that beautiful sunset that we got to enjoy!!
