a weekend for family...

last weekend we went to joe wheeler state park for a family reunion. mommy, daddy & i arrived on friday afternoon so that we could go sailing on saturday morning. isn't this little cottage just the CuTesT?!! we had so much fun on the lake. this time we also took down the sails & put up these pretty "dress flags" for part of the voyage, just for fun. i ate my nutella sandwich on the boat. mommy & daddy even kicked-back & relaxed a bit! i LovED this cottage! the inside walls and flooring were mostly wooden and i thought that was really neat. judy & craig arrived on saturday & they hosted a fish fry that evening. i enjoyed the decor! here are some fun pictures of the family, playing horseshoes & talking. daddy sneaked out late at night & snapped these nice pics of wheeler dam & also the reunion decor. aunt judy set up a great bubbles-station. cousin peggy joined in on the bubble fun too! we had a good turn-out of family & a beautiful setting. uncle craig gave these little "happy nappers" to me. they sing fun songs. i wrapped up my day by doing lots of chalk drawings. it was a GreAT weekend!!!

so it's time to update my blog cover photo. here are some attempts mommy made on sunday. perhaps one of them will end up being the picture, we're just not sure yet. but i do think they are worth of sharing...i'm pretty cute, right?

playing at the park...

here are some pictures from some playtime at the park. i am still somewhat afraid of slides, but i LovE to swing! i swung a little while on the big girl swing, but i really wanted to be in the baby swing. this was so i could go ReaLLY HigH, but not worry about falling off. wheeeeee!!! look at me go!!!

farble fun...

well i have gone too long between posts. again. These first pictures were taken before going to church on sunday. at church, my friend claire gave me this propeller thing. i named it a "farble." you spin the straw between your hands & then watch it FLY!! look how HiGH that farble can GO!!

school field trip to old baker farm...

on tuesday, my class went to old baker farm. it is a real working farm with corn, cotton & pumpkins. i was apprehensive about riding the school bus, but i wanted to go to the farm, so i overcame my fear! my teacher wrote a story about riding the bus & we sang "the wheels on the bus." grammy came as my chaperone, but she had to drive in her own car. so on the bus, i sat with my friend addison. in this next picture, you can see my some of my friends. destiny is to the left of me & addison is to the right. the whole class enjoyed going through the hay maze. here are some other pictures of me having fun with my friends. we saw farm animals, but i was afraid of them. i enjoyed TalKinG about the animals, but i did not want to actually be near them! we took a hayride to the pumpkin patch. although i like to discuss the "attributes of pumpkins," i was not interested in the actual pumpkins. grammy had to work pretty hard to get these pics of me with pumpkins! old baker farm is the best!! i cannot wait to go again!

fun-day-sun-day...

today we decided to be a little lazier & just hang out around the house. we did go to church & i did a good job in sunday school. this afternoon i wanted to play in the yard. mommy recently taught me how to roll down a grassy hill. every child needs this skill, right? so i ReaLLY reALLy wanted to do rolling today. we do this in our front yard. it is quite a show for the neighbors! sorry there's no video... we ended up changing into some older pants because my knees were getting so dirty! i also wanted to remove my socks & shoes. you can see the result below! i also like looking at the "pollen-wormies" all over our yard. then we did a little light-reading. now it's bath-time & DinnER-time!!
