zoolight safari...

a couple of nights ago, we went to zoolight safari at the birmingham zoo. it was great to share the zoolight experience with grammy, pappy, & even aunt trudy, & my cousins madison & liam, since they were still visiting from texas. aunt trudy bought these cool ice-princess wands for madison & me! and madison & i really loved the fun snow-spray! we also went "ice skating" at zoolight. the rink was actually made of some really strong plastic. mommy thought it was more difficult than real ice skating, but i did awesome! and of course we enjoyed the lights and the candy cane train! i met another 7-year old girl while we were in line for the train. we became fast friends & rode together. when i am asked to tell my favorite part of zoolight, i always answer: "all of it!"

Christmas Morning Gifts!!!

i was excited to receive many fun Christmas presents. Santa brought me several Paw Patrol action figures, flamingo slippers, octonauts & some craft projects. santa always puts bananas in daddy's & my stockings. but santa leaves an apple for mommy. this is funny to me-- santa actually knows that my mommy does not like bananas!

celebrating Christmas Eve...

we went to grammy & pappy's house for brunch on the morning of december 24th. we read the Christmas story together & i played trains with pappy. i was VerY excited to receive the rest of my paw patrol plushy pups!

Christmas preparations...

here are a few catch-up photos that were actually taken before Christmas. i always enjoy setting up our nativity scene. i like to be sure that all my nativity people get as close to Jesus as possible. there's nothing wrong with that! i learned to play "jolly old saint nicholas" in the key of "C" & they key of "D" on the piano. also, i helped my mom make cut-out sugar cookies that we iced & sprinkled. i had so much fun getting ready for Christmas!

HaPPy ThAnKsGiVinG!!!

we enjoyed a wonderful thanksgiving holiday in huntsville with daddy's family. i especially liked the hammock that uncle craig hung in the front yard!! sorry there are not more pictures, but we were having so much fun, we kind of forgot about the camera until it was almost the end!

trot like a turkey...

last weekend was the annual turkey trot at my school. this is a one-mile fun run to raise money for the physical education department & to promote a lifestyle that involves exercise. daddy ran with me at the trot. and i mean we RAN the whole way!!!

pumpkin time...

here are the pumpkins that flanked our front door during this autumn season. i particularly enjoyed this tiny yellow & green gourd. i called her "my little chick."

happy veterans day!!!

we had no school today so everyone could celebrate our VeTeRaNs!! i went to the birmingham veterans day parade with pappy, grammy, mommy & daddy. we had so much fun watching all the floats & dancing to the music of marching bands. many people came up to my pappy & thanked him for his service! i am thankful for all the military people in my family: my pappy, granddaddy joe, great-grandpa brandt, g-daddy sawyer, uncle curt & uncle kyle!
