happy hump-day...

today i drove my princess car all around the downstairs for a long time. until now, i have really only pressed the buttons & danced to the music. but today mommy & i worked at driving & i think i have the hang of it. after lunch we went to see our friends, the skellies. mommy & grammy are taking violin lessons from mrs connie. while they took turns in their lessons, i played in the backyard for a little while & watched some baby einstein too. we are also working on me being able to hang on to a swing by myself. and the last pic is of me sleeping with duckey... mommy had to perform surgery again recently. duckey is looking pretty rough these days.

happy mother's day, finally...

i tried to post these pics on monday morning, but while i was in the middle of working on it, i decided to hit the computer power button. everything shut down & mommy was late for work. so i am posting now... better late than never, i guess! mommy & i went to church with grammy & pappy (daddy had to work). then we went back to grammy & pappy's house for mother's day lunch! but the highlight of my day was getting to play with conrad, the cat! conrad even comes up to me & lets me love him & pet him.

choo-choo! all aboard...

one of the very last things we did was to ride the train around the zoo. i was pretty tired by this time, but i still enjoyed all of the scenery.

after lunch on thursday, we visited the birmingham zoo. my favorite parts were the fish tanks & the goats. we also rode the train, but i was very sleepy by that time. it was SO hot today! i drank 2 bottles of juice plus a bottle of milk while we were at the zoo! but i want to go back again anyway!!

wonderful, water-full wednesday...

on wednesday, we took out my pool & played in the yard for a long time. the water was a little COLD, but i did not care because it was so much fun! i got SO dirty so we also went downstairs to play with my sand & water table. WOW! what a great afternoon!

sweet dreams...

i like having my fluffy friends sleep in the crib with me. of course, ducky is my fave, but i also like this littl pink girl that recites "now i lay me down to sleep..." & glow worm is always good for a song. mommy puts monkey in the crib too. she says she hope that i will become more attached to him because ducky isn't going to last much longer! in fact, grammy had to perform several surgeries to repair ducky's bill, foot & eye today.

in the jungle again...

i recently discovered that my jungle playmat from "the old days" was stored away in my closet behind some clothes. i insisted on bringing it out to play with. of course, i play with it now in a totally different way than i did when i was a little baby! it is so fun to find new uses for old toys! i've included the recent pics (of course) but also some flashes from the past. these little baby pics are from when i was only a few weeks old!

talkin' rockin' & other stuff...

this post is just a hodge-podge of stuff from the past few days. mommy has finished my strawberry shortcake outfit but when i tried it on, the legs are too big. i think she can fix that pretty easily. mommy gave me a spoon today at lunch & i actually attempted to scoop up the raviolis & kiwi! i am going to keep on trying! this video is a little boring, but i just wanted to show you what a big girl i am -- i like to climb up in the rocking chair & rock away!

a day on the town...

on friday afternoon, daddy, mommy & i went shopping just to get out of the house. we stopped in the homewood toy store & that definitely kept me entertained! check out this BIG ducky that i found! i did not want to leave him there! and on a different topic... i have learned some new words! the most understandable word that i say is "gock" which means "clock." check out the side bar of this blog every now & then because mommy is trying to help me post new words as i figure them out.

a dandy of a day...

these pictures are from wednesday when mommy & i went for a stroll around the neighborhood. we picked dandelions & clover from people's yards & met these geese when we passed the lake.

a simple joy...

mommy & i joined daddy down in the garage on tuesday afternoon. he has this rolling stool that he uses for work on the car, but i thought it was a great toy. i hope this video won't make you dizzy! i am also posting a couple of pics from tuesday.

a day with daddy...

i am starting to use a plate because mommy says i need to learn to not throw plates in the floor when we go out to eat.



daddy & i hung out around the house today while mommy went to work. we always have great fun! i like to watch ABBA & old 80's videos on the computer.
