don't throw away those leftovers...

it's another post of randoms. every day has so much happiness, that sometimes there are "leftover" pictures that just didn't fit into any other post. well, "leftovers" are pretty enjoyable too, don't you think?

i've been wearing my socks & sandals on chilly days because i didn't have any winter shoes yet. mommy got these new tennis shoes for me the other day, but i think they might be too little. at least i don't think i'll be able to wear them for long. but they are cute!

halloween is on the way...

we've had a couple of chilly mornings this week. grammy got a few comfortable outfits for me that are good for this kind of weather, including this halloween outfit. but i still didn't have any winter shoes, thus the socks with sandals (AGAIN!) thank goodness grammy also had these great cat shoes to match my halloween threads! they even "meow" when you press their little heads! that is why i am studying them so closely in the last picture!

well, it was a little overcast today. but at least it's not too hot or cold or rainy. i watched mommy & daddy do some yardwork for a little while, but i got bored so mommy took me to the park. i always love to swing!

my elmo is pretty funny. i like to put my fingers in his mouth. i'm glad that does not make him gag.

look who's walking...

check me out! something just clicked between my brain & my legs & i am really walking now. today i even walked all the way from the kitchen to the den without falling even once (probably 15 or 20 feet!) when i am walking, i often hold my blue turtle toy. he helps me to balance better. i am so proud of myself!

let's throw it around...

as i've mentioned before, i like to throw things. sometimes i throw food, but most of the time, i just throw my toys. for some reason, i usually throw things behind me. it's becoming a habit...

one step at a time...

check me out! i am really starting to walk! i usually follow the same path; the ottoman to the rocking chair to the crib & back to the ottoman. and mommy & daddy MUST applaud me when i reach my destination. a side note... can you hear the music in the second video? it's kool & the gang! celebrate! LOL. another side note... please ignore my momementary lapse of fashion sense. i was already dressed & then mommy realized it was a little chilly so i needed more clothes, thus the mismatched jacket & socks with sandals. she'll change my clothes before we go to church.

we spent a long time at the park yesterday afternoon! i really do LOVE the swing!

p.s. on the eating situation...

tonight mommy gave me meatloaf for dinner. i decided to throw it in the floor & scream a lot. so then she gave me chicken from the soup that she & daddy were having for dinner. i also threw it in the floor & continued to scream. there was enough meat on the floor to have a whole meal. mommy will learn to only give me a few pieces at a time. i have eaten meatloaf & chicken before and liked them both. but i guess this just wasn't a good night to eat meat. mommy finally just gave me peaches & milk. i hope i will sleep through the night. that is why i am telling mommy to go to bed now.

my first grilled cheese sandwich...

all kids love grilled cheese sandwiches, right? well, the first time that mommy gave a piece to me, i did not care for it. but it is a couple of weeks later now & i guess my tastes are maturing. i have eaten grilled cheeses twice this week & i love them. i also like to have oranges or peaches as my side dish. mmm! delicious!

here's a little of this & that from the last few days.

yardwork & hard work...

yesterday mommy & daddy did a little yard work, so i studied my colors to pass the time. i got this book last week & i have really enjoyed learning my colors. when we got back in the house, mommy & i played a little game. actually grammy came up with this game of chairs. i am supposed to walk back & forth between them, and each time they are spaced further apart. but when mommy took these videos, i was feeling a bit frustrated, as you will see. oh well, i will walk eventually.
