mommy got this strawberry shortcake material on clearance at hobby lobby. she still needs to make the britches & put in buttonholes, but the dress is pretty cute so far!

tomatoe, tomatah...

lots of people eat breakfast foods all throughout the day, so why not eat non-breakfast food for breakfast? we were out of bananas this morning & i love tomatoes, so i just ate tomatoes & peaches for breakfast. i've never really been a bacon & eggs girl anyway.

time change sunday...

unfortunately, we overslept this morning & missed church. so we just hung at around the house all day. i played with my toys & drove my princess car. this afternoon we played outside. it was a little chilly, so we would stay outside for 15 or 20 minutes & then come back in to warm up. we did this several times & the last time we came in, i REALLY pitched a fit -- i still wanted to play! (but i guess the nap was more important!)


while we were playing outside, i got a little irritated at mommy always trying to take my picture. so most of these pics are blurry or from the side. i don't care about pictures... i just want to play!

sit, swing & sew...

i have realized that somehow i missed posting these pics from this last week. so let me tell you about them... this first pic is of me in my new blue adirondak chair. grammy said that the Easter bunny dropped it off with her so i could have it earlier. i enjoy sitting in it, but sometimes i have trouble figuring out exactly where my bottom should go.


you know we've had some really warm weather lately. so grammy brought out my swing for her house again. i like swinging on the back porch because there are no bugs!

here you can see mommy is almost done making my new summer outfit. it is REALLY too big, but grammy says we can make adjustments & it should fit just right!

my day with daddy...

it was STILL raining this morning! i have really enjoyed watching my puddle in the back yard. we also enjoyed a walk to the lake where we fed cheerios to the geese. spring is just around the corner!

update of randomness...

here are some pictures from the last few days that just didn't really fit in anywhere else, but they are still worth sharing. mommy has tried fixing my pigtails & they still end up lopsided -- oh well...














now i am really enjoying this pony that daddy got for me at the beach this past summer. i bounce up & down -- but someone has to help me because i fall off pretty easily! another one of these pics is of me playing "horsey" with pappy. well -- i mean HE pretends that his leg is horse & i get to ride along, up & down, up & down... and when he stops, i bounce around until he goes "giddy-up" again!

my new "do"...

check out how grammy has started fixing my hair! the first day she did it (that's the pic of me in the dots) i would NOT sit still, so the pigtails are a bit lopsided. but i think i'm pretty cute anyway! yesterday i sat more patiently & so the pigtails are more even. i tried to pull out the rubber band things at first, but now i just leave them alone & it's great because this is a new way to keep my hair out of my pretty face! (sorry some of these pics are blurry, but grammy & i were playing peek-a-boo around a corner.)

working weekend, part two...

working weekend, part one...

this weekend we went to see grandmommie and to help her with some projects in the yard. MY project was to run around & have fun -- i think i did a good job & my family did their jobs well also. mommy, daddy & i got there on saturday and i played inside some, but also ran around in the yard while daddy worked on the windmill. what fun! they eventually took away that blue shed & the old swing that grandmommie & i are sitting on and put a new swing in its place.


a funny new thing that i like to do is to sit on the furniture while i play. well, you adults sit on the couch & chairs while you talk, so i want to be up there too. it's ok to be in the floor sometimes, but i am learning to like furniture too. and you know i love to listen to daddy play piano, but i have also taken an interest in the violin. i like to pluck the strings & sometimes even help with moving the bow. mommy brought her violin this weekend so we could play together.

am i "going green"?

last night my family ate baked potatoes for dinner and they had all the fixin's that go on baked potatoes, like butter, cheese, bacon bits, ranch dressing, and BROCCOLI! i was eating some of MY favorite foods (bananas & tomatoes) but mommy put some broccoli & cheese on my tray also. i actually ate the broccoli! mostly, i was interested in the tiny leaves, but i would eat them -- one at a time! maybe i will develop a taste for the green stuff!

i can be quiet too...

i like this thing that sits on a table in the hall at grammy's house. it has tassels on it & i separate all the strands until i am holding just one or two so i can inspect them closely. i never try to pull this thing off the table -- i just like to look at the tassels. SEE -- sometimes i am actually quiet (in addition to sleeping!)

the story of a redneck baby...

mommy & i spent the day with grammy today. mommy has been wanting to make some summer outfits for me & grammy is helping her with that. well, they wanted me to try on part of this new shirt, to see if any adjustments would be needed. i guess with my belly hanging out, my diaper sticking up & wearing blue jeans, i just looked like a redneck baby. they got a good laugh out of me.
i also enjoyed watching the digital picture frame. i am learning the members of my family by watching their pictures on this frame. we played a lot, too -- i read books & i worked on pushing these shapes into the holes in this ball. sometimes i get frustrated, but i got several shapes in today!

my morning so far...

sorry i have not been very regular with the posts lately. i will try to do better. so right now i am posting things that i have already done this morning. of course i had bananas for breakfast & then mommy & i played downstairs for a while. i have a favorite drawer in our kitchen too. it just had towels & potholders in it before so we added some cookie cutters & other fun things. then we went up to play with blocks. mommy built a tall tower & i took it apart! it's already been a great day!
