neighborhood photo shoot...

mommy is determined that she can take a good family photo (one that we can enlarge & frame.) so here are some practice shots... obviously we need to work on balancing the lighting and the camera functions to increase clarity. we'll practice again later. but she has a pretty cute subject, don't you think? also -- my grammy is a pretty awesome seamstress!! :o)

it's a zoo out there...

we LOVE our Birmingham zoo! recently we've made a couple of Saturday trips to the zoo. I've enjoyed using the map skills that I am learning in first grade. mommy would get us to a part of the zoo that i'm not so familiar with & then I'd have to tell her how to get where we wanted to go. I am still loving luau things & so the flamingo is one of my favorite animals. I like to note the numbers on their leg bands & then try to see the same ones again on another visit to the zoo. at school we've also been talking about symbols of our great nation. of course I've learned about bald eagles, so I was very excited that the Birmingham zoo is home to two of these beautiful birds! they are both injured & can't be returned to the wild, but they have hatched several babies over the years.

the beachy photo shoot...

here are some family pictures that mommy took at the beach on one of our last days. i must say -- i do NOT enjoy photo shoots. so we made an agreement... i would get to make some silly & mad photos first. then i would make the happy smily pictures.

my dolphin experience...

i LOVE dolphins! daddy arranged for us to swim with a dolphin at gulf world in panama city beach. on previous trips, i've tried to touch the dolphin, but i've been a little scared. but daddy knew i had the courage to do this!! our dolphin was named "rue" because he was saved from the new orleans area. mommy and daddy did all sorts of crazy things with our dolphin. i enjoyed rubbing on rue's flippers, tail & belly. i also directed her in singing a song to us. it was SO exciting!!!

beachiness is better late than never...

here is a dose of beachy fun!! there are a lot of pictures here, but most are self-explanatory. we stayed at the aqua in panama city beach, florida. it was an amazing trip!!

Sweet Caroline

I was going to Claire and Julia's house. But Frenchy and Violet were there.So we did a song in the garage.The song was called, sweet caroline.The ba, ba, bas and so good was a LOT of fun.

Blue Wheel and Symphony's Dorsal Fin

This little dolphin's name is Symphony. Last time, she had a blue wheel inside her dorsal fin.The wheel came out of her fin and her fin opened up!
