family time...

my great-grandma brandt, aunt mary ann & uncle rodney have come to visit this week. they are staying with grammy & pappy. i am enjoying spending time with my family. i am also enjoying this little box & strawberries that my GG and Gdaddy sent to me from virginia. Gdaddy made this little box & i love to peek inside & take the strawberries out & count them.

if you put a pelican in a purse...

if would you put MY pelican in the purse, i would get really upest!! so remember how i've said that i like to carry ALL my stuffed animals at once? well, last night at grammy & pappy's house, she remembered that a friend from church had given me her old purse. that friend's name is mary katherine, so the purse has the initials "MK" on it! it's perfect for me! and it is the perfect size to carry several animals at once. so mommy & grammy tried to teach me how to use the purse so that i could carry lots of animal babies with me. i was pretty upset when they started putting the animals in the purse -- maybe i thought they were going to take them away. but once i realized i got to keep the purse, i enjoyed carrying it with me. unfortunately, i have to go through this same thought process every time that mommy helps me to put the babies in the purse. but it's a good idea... and we'll keep working on it!

i just THOUGHT i had a lot of animals...

grammy has been visiting her family in virginia for the last week. while she was there, she found a bunch of beanie babies that she thought i would enjoy. WOW! she was so right!! i played with them for over an hour tonight... just organizing them, hugging them & dancing with them. i can't wait to get up tomorrow & play with them all again!

so many animals, so little time...

old macdonald is one of my favorite songs, so i guess it's natural that i would LOVE all my stuffed animals too. in the pic on the stairs, i am carrying my parrot (he is named doh) and two duckies. mommy tried to help me carry them down the stairs that morning, but i told her *rather emphatically!* that i could do it all by myself! i scooted down all the stairs, and neither i nor animals were injured. in the pic of me on the bed, i am loving big bird (i call him di-doh) because ducky-one was being washed after taking a toilet swim. big bird is a pretty good substitute for ducky. and it's also interesting to note that i am reading the book "eight silly monkeys."














then i have this beach towel with all sorts of sea creatures on it. my favorite animal on this towel is definitely the dolphin (i call him del-dal-ghin.) i love him & hug him as much any person could hug a towel. and today we went to the park & mommy let me take ducky in the stroller. when i arrived at the park, i did not want to turn loose of ducky. this really turned out to be somewhat bad, because i was not able to play like i normally would, since i had to take care of ducky. maybe we'll leave ducky at home for the next trip to the park. but i just LOVE all my animals!

when i went to the playground this afternoon, i met two new friends. mommy says there was no way to capture all three of us in the same photograph because we were all moving in different directions. but we had lots of fun & i got to play with their dog too. later this evening, i rode my princess car and i HAD to bring along these passengers. i drove around for a long time with ducky-2 and bird, and if i dropped one of them, i would get ReAlLy upset!

so last night i noticed these other grapes & daddy allowed me to play with them. i actually like them almost as well as i like my ceramic grape-spoonrest that i posted about a couple of days ago. this is great, because these grapes won't break!

i forgot to post these pics from our many activities on saturday. i woke up with some beautiful bed-head-hair. but i cleaned up & we went shopping for a wedding gift for my cousin, leigh. then we came home & played outside. i enjoyed pushing my tricycle (i did RIDE it a little bit too!) and i also played with my sand. what a great day!

got any grapes...

one of my favorite videos is about a duck in the supposed conquest for grapes. (the duck's real intent is just to frustrate people, but i'm not sure i understand it that way!) it is called "the duck song" & it is one of the videos on the sidebar of this blog. so anyway... as a result of that song, i have developed a fondness for grapes. one day i noticed that the spoon-rest in our kitchen looks like grapes & i thought that was pretty neat. now i like to walk around with the grapes & hug them. mommy figures this is OK because we talk a lot about being gentle so that i don't break the grapes. but i think sometimes she hides the grapes from me too. and sorry that my shirt is so dirty in these pics, but i had just finished eating an apple & it was time for my bath anyway.

i'm a little monkey...

i love to play at our park down the street. i have been loving the big slides for a while, but recently i have also learned how to climb up the bars. i am SO strong! and of course i still love to swing & be silly.

i don't know if you can tell or not, but this jungle-gym is made of that metal-see-through-mesh. i think it is really funny when i climb on top & mommy walks underneath me & i can see her through the "floor." i squeal & laugh out loud & get SO excited!! and it is so nice to play outside now that the weather is getting a little cooler. i LoVE my playground!

late wednesday update...

sorry i didn't post these pics on wednesday night, but --- better late than never, right?? wednesday was a full day for us. i started out helping mommy with some laundry (i am learning to put the clothes in the basket.) then we did some dancing up in my room. after lunch, we went out with daddy to run errands & we stopped by the bass pro shop. oh wow!! i loved watching all the fishes! when they would swim past me, i would just SqUeAL!! maybe a trip to the gatlinburg or atlanta aquariums will be in our future!

well, it WaS a party! these pics are from a week or so ago -- it was my friend owen's birthday party. mommy is just now getting the pics off facebook from owen's mommy. "toy story" was the theme of the party & owen's mommy made these neat cupcakes that looked like pigs & aliens. i LoVeD the cupcakes! owen did not want to finish his, and i decided it would be best to not waste the cupcake. i took care of it for him (or at least the icing, anyway!)

this past weekend i went to the fiddlers' convention in athens, alabama. it was like a carnival or fair! i got a balloon & i got an apple to eat all by myself! i listened a little bit to the music, but mostly i just LoVeD my balloon!!
